A brighter future for Brisbane

Why I'm Running

I’m Anthony Walker and I’m running for Brisbane City Council. As a parent of two girls in our local public schools, not a day goes by when I’m not thinking about how fortunate we are to be living in this wonderful town. What motivated me to run is a strong desire to ensure our future maintains a vibrant connection with the environment and one another. I will work with our community to formulate creative ideas to deal with affordable housing, responsible development, and protecting our open space.

I also will take a proactive role in dealing with the effects of climate change. This is the biggest crisis facing all of us, so it is imperative that we come together and take decisive action now to confront it. I will strongly promote sustainable policies and will work with all members of our community to leverage creative solutions for a healthier and safer Brisbane.
